Call for Abstract Submission
23rd AsiaCALL International Conference (AsiaCALL 2026)
14–15 November 2026 | Phuong Dong University, Ha Noi, Vietnam
Dear AsiaCALLers,
AsiaCALL 2025 marked a significant step forward in connecting researchers and practitioners who are exploring how AI can improve language education while preserving pedagogical quality and human values. Building on that momentum, AsiaCALL 2026 introduces the theme “AI for Language Assessment and Academic Integrity” to address one of the field’s most urgent priorities: how to use AI to strengthen, rather than weaken, trustworthy assessment. This theme invites discussion on AI-assisted scoring, formative feedback, and analytics that support valid, reliable, and fair evaluation across speaking, writing, reading, and listening. At the same time, it foregrounds integrity through assessment redesign, authentic performance tasks, process-based writing, oral defenses, and transparent rubric use that reduce opportunities for misuse. The theme also encourages institutions to develop practical policies, teacher training, and student AI literacy so assessment systems remain ethical, evidence-based, and learning-centered. In short, AsiaCALL 2026 positions integrity and innovation as mutually reinforcing goals for language education.
The Asia Association of Computer-Assisted Language Learning (AsiaCALL) cordially invites researchers, educators, teachers, and postgraduate students to submit abstracts for AsiaCALL 2026. Submissions should present original research, innovative practices, or evidence-based pedagogical applications in technology-enhanced and AI-supported language education.
